Little Miss Spider

WARNING: This poem is not intended for people with Arachnophobia (extreme fear of spiders).

Once upon a time

A little spider named Arachnie

She spins her web on a spindle

Sipping on Darjeeling as her younglings danced on her threads

She dreaded the day her husband left her

Serving him on an platter for her kin

Her ancestor cursed by Athena

Yet she balances nature — in her own web threads

spider

Isn’t she adorable?
